MMA H.E.A.T.’s Karyn Bryant spoke via Skype with Bellator Middleweight Champion Gegard Mousasi and heard what had to say about his upcoming title defense against Rafael Lovato Jr, set for June 22, 2019, in London, England. Gegard talks about defending against Lovato’s famed BJJ skills, the back injury that caused the postponement of the match-up, his mindset as champion and his last fight against Welterweight champ Rory MacDonald. In addition, Gegard discusses his future in the Bellator organization, why he believes he’d beat the UFC’s Middleweight Champ Robert Whittaker and what he plans to do to celebrate if he wins.

  1. Gotta love Gegard. He is such a funny cat. Nice surprise that Karyn kept her tradition of interviewing Gegard prior to European Fight Night 3 next Saturday. He is on a 8 fight win streak. He hasnt lost since April of 2015 when Uriah Hall knocked him out. So 4 years he hasnt suffered a defeat.

  2. I actually think that Whitaker would beat this champion as Whitaker is a superior champion to this chap is seasoned or one past it . When will he realise . Whitaker beat an Olympic Çhamp . You want to fight Robert Whitaker too line your pockets so talk it up . Whitaker beat Hall …. MacDonald was down when he fought you .
