Sijara explains the weight cutting issues that led to her being removed from the title fight, why she believes she should fight at flyweight rather than bantamweight and how she plans to avoid the same situation in the future. 1. I think allot of fighters put too much importance in cutting as much weight as possible so they can rehydrate and gain a weight advantage over their opponent for the fight. Surely your technique, physical conditioning, mental strength etc are way more important look at the heavyweight division the best heavyweights haven't been the biggest heaviest ones (Cain, Fedor and Werdum usually fight 20lb under the weight limit.) Valentina Shevchenko is about the same height as Eubanks and when she fought at 135 she didn't even cut any weight and managed to beat Holly Holm.

  3. How can you fucking come in at such a heavy weight and try to cut so much weight for a fight that you had a good change of being the UFC champ on? I mean holy shit, how can you blow that. Why would anyone leading up to the fight, during their camp, not get their weight down so the cut is easy? How the fuck is that possible. Seriously. Lose the god damn weight and then cut. This is life changing shit, why would you blow it that bad? I don't get it. Most of us will never even come close to a 10th of even getting as far as she did, and I know my ass would have an easy cut.

She was TOO heavy to begin with, losing weight should have been easy if you chose to do it. Could have dropped 10 lbs EASY in a month, probably more and still been in tip top condition.

  4. WTF is these dumb excuses. She came in 20+ pounds overweight! If it was up to me, she'd NEVER fight in the UFC again. There are Literally hundreds of women in line for her spot, and she Pisses on them, the fans and the UFC!

  6. hmmm. She talks about it being gods will or some shit as to why she didn't make weight but the REALITY is it's her fault she didn't make weight. I'm not saying it's not hard but let's accept responsibility! There is no divine plan, you are the reason your not fighting for the title. Good luck, in the future.

    • John Hartley because what are going to do she did everything she could but her body flat out shut down nothing you can do but take it on the chin jump back on the horse & keep moving & figure out better ways to cut, trust me she I know her she was super pissed at herself

    • Les Wilson not every weight cut is not the same, some cuts are way easier then others some cuts your body kills it then some cuts your body just shuts down, this was her first time cutting to 125 after fighting so long at 135, flyweight is the best division for her because she is undersized at 135 she just needs to get her walk around weight down I train with her at team Lloyd Irvin & she always knew the cut was going to be challenging but it's a learning experience

    • Cameron Mitchell it actually is her fault for choosing that class and knowing the risks when there is a class that suits her better in terms of cutting. she has no excuse just wants to fight smaller women, look at Val she went up in did just fine being undersized

  8. I was wondering during her first weight cut when she had to cut her dreads, why is someone who can't make weight on a show to inaugurate a title in a weight class she doesn't fit in? im sure it sucks for her but she needs to move up.

  10. She makes total sence when talking about continuing a run @125lbs but there's no real excuse for not making weight with months advance notice.
EXAMPLE:[When TJ Started Cutting Down To Fight DJ, before he turned down the fight]…

(This now shows why she "refused" to answer "what her weight was" during the TUF Talk interview)
