UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron WoodleyTyron Woodley (born April 7, 1982) is an American professional mixed martial artist, broadcast analyst and actor who is currently signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He competes in the UFC’s welterweight division, where he is the reigning champion. A professional since 2009, Woodley also fought in Strikeforce. As of 26 July 2018, he is #7 in official UFC pound-for-pound rankings.
Woodley is married and has four children; Tyron Jr., Darron, Dylan, and Gabby. He has said that his goal is one-day to open a non-profit facility for troubled youths. When his hometown of Ferguson, Missouri engaged in civil unrest after the shooting of Michael Brown, Woodley publicly condemned the violent protests and lootings that took place. Woodley has pursued acting in his spare time and played roles in Straight Outta Compton and Kickboxer: Vengeance. He also appears in Escape Plan 2: Hades with several fight scenes. What is this massive size difference people are talking about? Till's a HUGE welterweight, yea, I agree. So is Woodley. Till fights at 200 pounds, Woodley fights no less than 190. Factor in the 4-5 inch height difference (5'8 and 6'0-6'1), and it's clear Woodley is a freaking tank. Yes, height is clear, but that doesn't matter, does it? 2) Woodley's wrestling is much better than Till's. Woodley has not a care in the world of getting taken down by Till, yet the exact opposite is true for Till. Till claims he's gonna get right back up, but really? Who believes that? Woodley was a freaking wrestling coach before he even started MMA.
