Kamaru Usman
Born in Benin City, Nigeria, Usman and his family immigrated to the United States when he was 8-years-old. After compiling a 53–3 record in high school wrestling, at Bowie High School in Arlington, Texas, and qualifying for the NAIA national meet at William Penn University, Usman’s wrestling career took off after transferring to the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Usman earned NCAA Division II All-American honors all three years he attended and helped the school win its first-ever overall team title in 2008. In his senior season, he won the 2010 NCAA Division II national title at 174 lbs. Additionally, he was also a member of the University World Team for wrestling in 2010.
Kamaru Usman made his professional MMA debut in November 2012. He compiled a record of 5–1, competing for several regional promotions before trying out for The Ultimate Fighter in early 2015.

Usman is good. But hes not beating woodley . Neither is Covington. Hes getting up there in age and his time will come , like everyone else but I think hes smart enough to retire before someone makes a fool of him.
Give him wonderboy or till
Lol great interview
Usman is next for that title doesnt have to take another fight honestly
Usman is pretty funny!
This is why Vitor should have taken both of Bitchpings eyes
I hope Usman beat the f*ck outta Colby Covington
Straight outta wakanda
Usman is the man lol. He may never get to fight Colby tho Woodley fights him
Kumaru urinates sitting down with his legs crossed
Woodley destroys this dude
Get that crosseyed Brit MICHEAL Bisping outta there. We sick of him
Rashan Sankofa white boy
Black Panther
I did a little bump and still fell asleep – Jon, I'm a wild man, Jones
Bisping: who would you like for to win that fight?
Usman: lets be honest, tyron because bla… I mean he's the greatest of all time
They really want usman to fight again before woodley
Love the Colby trash talking
the decisionator
the casual
The only ppl in the division that can beat this guy are probably tyron woodley and santiago ponzinibbio
Get em usman!
Usman vs Woodley
Tyron. Will KO Usman In The first Round & Usman Will Probably Lose To Covington Usman Just Average Wrestler Only Thing He Got Avaerage Joe And Boring Fighter
THENEWSOCIETYOFTODAY 448 finally someone with common sense
I was 30% awake… borin man… all these wrestlers, grapplers, sambos, watevers comin and borin the crowd explains why the numbers r what they r… its not that the rite fite to make is khabib vs gsp or a conor rematch, its the only thing that will draw money!!!!… these guys r borin af!!!!!
Roberto C Rodriguez then you should stick to boxing
yeah stick to boxing cuz obviously you know nothing of what Mixed Martial Arts is about..if you can't appreciate the superb, elite level of grappling these pro fighters possess, then u have no business even commenting on this prestigious young sport..
You are probably the same type of person that thinks boxing and kickboxing matches are boring as well right?
100% sure you've never grappled, because if you did…You would appreciate the grappling aspect as well and how tough it is.
Colby vs Usman for the #1 contender
Doesn’t sound Nigerian to me
Yeah but he's black. There's your proof
Enigma McC cause he spent most of his life overseas just like Israel Adesanya who is Nigerian too
He is a pretty funny and nice guy, if he is more natural and collected like
this. Good job on the fight as well.
Good job on losing your hair.
Even though I do feel it's a little boring to hold someone down for such a big portion of the fight, he does very well at using his wrestling as a threat in standup
My son just won the fight lol
Tyron beats Usman HANDS DOWN…the difference being Tyron’s killer instinct. But it’s hilarious hearing this guy saying he’s gonna finish Covington when he could’ve finished RDA but he didn’t. Say what you want but I believe 100% he could’ve finished RDA but was scared of what might happen.
Coming from a man who dislikes Usman
Austin Willis of course you dislike him we can see it in your comment. And you act like it’s easy to finish RDA. look at his record. If I remember correctly not even Khabib finished him
mike a Never said it was easy to finish RDA, and I don’t see how my comment says so. Rounds 3 to 5. That’s two rounds more than khabib had, two CHAMPIONSHIP rounds. I honestly feel Usman had more of a shot than khabib did, 10m more…also later on in their careers. Not really sure what you’re trying to say lol. I don’t like Usman but I didn’t disrespect the guy
im tired seeing Woodley beat up crackers back to back put him in there with a brother see how good Woodley really is
+Stolen From Africa slick racism, goy.
Tony ferg is the type a guy to watch Usman wrestle a paper bag
Colbys Nigerian son
TX X More like Colby's Daddy.
Watching Kamaru Usman at 30% is 100% boring.
Colby sucks!
Nerd
Simon Piñeiro nah he’s annoying but he’s skilled
Did you expect this outcome?
I only predicted about 30% of the out come
To b that borin???? No…
Is Kenny wearing eye liner???????
Always bet on Black.
I bet on usman winning the fight with decision. He is a decision maker and i already knew he would pressure rda. Rda needs space with forward movement to win
