On this edition of The MMA H.E.A.T. Podcast With Karyn Bryant, Karyn and UFC Welterweight Alan Jouban discuss the action that went down at UFC Rotterdam, where Alistair Overeem defeated Andrei Arlovski in the main event, and Stefan Struve knocked out Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva in the co-main. Karyn and Alan break down those fights, as well as Gunnar Nelson and Germaine De Randamie’s wins. They also react to Tonya Evinger’s post-fight kiss at Invicta FC 17 and they talk about the possible boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor.

Love the podcast. This one had some crackle and sound issues that made it a bit hard to get through.

UFC Fight Night 87 was a good show. My favorite fight was 10. Karolina Kowalikz vs Heather Jo Clark cause it was Heathers first official fight after The Ultimate Fighter 20. She was a victim of ring rust but she took it as well as she dish it out. She will be fine. I was really surprised that Germaine De Randamine fought Anna Elmose. Anna was so mismatched. Germaine was supposed to fight in December on the FS1 prelims for UFC on Fox 17- RDA vs Cerrone against Sarah Kaufmann but had an injured hand. Valentina Shevencko filled in for her. I was surprised that Dana wanted Germaine to fight against Cris Cyborg Justino at UFC 198. I think Cris is only with UFC cause Dana doesnt want her in Bellator because on May 20th at Bellator 155 they will crown the First ever Bellator Womens Featherweight Champion: will it be Maroles Coenen or Julia Budd. Cris would be the face at that division for sure.
If you look at Antonio Big Foot Silvas record; he is 1-5-1 in his last 7 including 2 losses in a row via TKO. They dont want him to be pink slipped. Otherwise, I think Stefan was more determine to get back in the top 15 and he wanted to win for Jordan Parsons who unfortunately passed away last wednesday due to a hit and run situation.
Invicta FC 17 was a good show. I would consider Angie Hill's win a Huge upset cause she defeated Livia Renata Souza who most people thought should have been with UFC when they first launched the Womens Strawweight Division. Angie has won 3 in a row. She only had 1 professional fight when TUF 20 happened. They threw her in the deep end of sure. Angie is finding herself. I think Tonya was excited and exhausted after the fight. Colleen should be proud of herself cause she is the first woman to make Tonya Evinger need the judges. It was a silly thing with the kiss to Laura Sakko. All in all, that was a good card on Saturday.

There were some fights that were made "official" and had the paperwork signed. The UFC on Fox 20 main event will be special. The first time a fox card will have 2 women in the main event: 1. Holly Holm vs 9. Valentina Shevencko. Was watching another podcast before you guys and the host had said there were 3 possiblities for Holly. 15. Ashlee Evans Smith, 13. Lauren Murphy (who is saying on Social media she said Yes to the fight) and who the UFC went with 9. Valentina. The co main event is in the Light Heavyweight Division 2. Anthony Johnson vs 3. Glover Teixeria-more than likely will have title implications. Tickets go on sale May 20th.
UFC Fight Night 91- Wednesday July 13th has a main event. 3. Tony Ferguson vs 9. Micheal Chiesa. A lot of people were surprised on social media cause its Tony vs Micheal where Tony has 7 wins in a row and he isnt facing Khabib Nurmmadegov with NO 1 CONTINDERSHIP ON THE LINE. Tickets go on sale May 20th also.

great podcast guys. definitely good style fight for Alan
Yup Nordine Taleb is a great style fight for Alan more than likely the winner may crack the top 15 as both are coming off wins in their last fight.
+Joseph Boza lol whut… no way welterweight is easily one of the most stacked divisions. he needs at least 4 straight if he doesnt get a top 15 win for his 3rd fight
You do have a good point. After they updating the rankings after this show: Gunnar Nelson returned to the rankings at #13. Shows how one win though cause heavily changed the rankings cause Albert Einstein Tumenov fell out of the top 15 with a loss.

Man, I love this podcast so much. Especially since it feels like a relaxed conversation about all the topics, not just hurrying through headlines.
That Gunni fight was my favourite. That moment when he moved over his leg from side control into the mount, that sound when his leg landed with authority illustrated that fight. Awesome.
Gunnar Nelson can beat the crap out of Conor Mcgregor.
+Demian Haki how good is demian maya ?

Beating a deflated Bigfoot is nothing to be proud of. That being said, the only thing that has kept Struve from a title shot is his drive and hunger to capitalise on his reach and go for quick finishes. This is a step in the right direction.
FUCK U EL TAPPO
+Connor Mcgregor you are meant to be a conor fan boy and you cant even spell his name right ahhahah fs
