    • Hi Dedric I'm waiting to see Branch let loose as well. I thought he was going to throw down hard in his debut but it was almost similar performance when he was in WSOF but he just didn't get the decision. Branch is going to be in for a fight.

    • Dean i totally agree! His debut was a little lackluster – coming into the ufc i was hoping he threw down – his wsof performances seemed a little wrestle heavy , i will not lie man , i hope rockhold brings out the best in branch… And honestly being a fan of rockhold im excited to see him in action again –

    • With Luke not fighting in about 15 months due to injury and lack of opponents, it was the right fight for him to come back too. David is #9 and on a 10 fight win streak. This will show if David can go against the top 3 at MW. Plus with Bisping holding out for GSP, what does Luke do wait or take the fight if necessary. Plus this does sound like a Mick Maynard fight that Lukes team thought was right. They were smart and didnt go for someone like Jacare after a long absence.

    • Hi Joseph. For me I like the Jacare match up better for Luke rather than Branch. A Souza fight will do more for Luke's status even though Jacare is coming off of a loss. I also the way Jacare lost was pretty bad. Luke would be catching a Jacare that isn't exactly 100%. Either way the more I think of this I do like this fight more Branch vs. Rockhold. Although I did have this same feeling when Canonier fought Glover.

    • Luke revealed to Megan Olivi this week on UFC Tonight the UFC wanted that fight night to be Luke vs Yoel Romero. Yoel's 'team' allegedly wanted 3 rounds. With Whittaker injured and likely out until 2018, the top 5 are jumping at Bisping (who wants that easy fight with GSP)

  1. Such a cool treat that we got a MMA heat podcast with Alan getting ready to relocate to Mexico City for fight week and with Karyn just wrapping Speak for Yourself. Its a cool treat when Karyn, Kenny, and DC can appear on other Fs1 shows to talk about the UFC. DC is in such a nice place right now. If anything he needs the win, to prove to people that he is the UFC Light Heayweight Champion. People think he wont be champion until he beats Jon. If DC loses, he will be fine. He has done enough imo to be a hall of famer. Jon needs this more. I think given the crap we went through at UFC 200 with that going to hell that is why Twood vs Maia was booked. Even though Cris Cyborg vs Tonya Evinger is happening for the UFC Womens Featherweight Championship. Twood and Demian is plan B incase that happens. I am crossing my fingers they make it to the cage cause knock on wood, hoping Karyn Kenny and Bisping dont have to react to anything on Saturday.

Saturday was Kelvin's first real test against a middleweight fighter. The guys he beat at 185, are on the tail end of their UFC career, Tim Kennedy and Vitor Belfort. At the weigh in, it looked like Chris could go up to Light Heavyweight and Kelvin is a welterweight fighter the size difference was amazing. I think Chris was happy he won cause the back story that wasnt mention was that after UFC 210, Ray and Matt put their foot down and said there is NO way in hell Chris is fighting in New York again, they still feel like he beat Gegard. I think most of us feel that Chris needs 1 more win. With Robert Whittaker out until 2018: Bisping holding out hope for GSP. The Middleweight Division is insane. Tyron did an interview today and he heard rumors that the winner of TWood/Maia would fight GSP at UFC 217, he wasnt holding out hope.

Kelvin won his season of The Ultimate fighter at 21. He is the youngest winner of the show. The Ultimate Fighter 26: A Champio will be crowned II debuts on FS1 Wednesday August 30th. It will be Justin Gaethje vs Eddie Alvarez. When Dana drop that in Brooklyn before Conor/Floyd press conference. People were shocked. They wished it was Eddie/Dustin cause of what happened at UFC 211.
