On this edition of The MMA H.E.A.T. Podcast, Karyn Bryant and UFC Welterweight Alan Jouban discuss the action that went down at UFC Sao Paulo, where Thiago Santos defeated Eryk Anders in the Fight OF The Night main event. Karyn and Alan share their thoughts on the highly entertaining fight and what could be next for the two fighters who usually compete as Middleweights rather than Light Heavyweights. They also discuss Charles Oliveira’s record-setting submission win over Christos Giagos, “Cowboy” Alex Oliveira’s win over Carlo Pedersoli, Rogerio Nogueira’s TKO of Sam Alvey, Renen Barao’s loss to Andre Ewell and the show of respect between Sergio Moraes and Ben Saunders after their battle.

Hey guys , great show as always. But I disagree that Anders gave up, they were both gassed and Anders kept colaspsing from those "hellbows" to the side of the dome. He was holding his own till that moment I think, but the "hammer" brought it for the win.
Didn’t till miss weight by 7 lbs and get a title shot right after? Barao’ should have missed by 8, he would have got the title shot imo
I am pretty sure that Till missed by 3 pounds and around that time Mackenzie Dern missed by 7 pounds, so they often came up in the same discussion.
What kind of neck stuff were you doing before you injured your neck alan?
This was a surprisingly good card. We started the main card with the Womens Strawweight Division between 13. Randa Markos and Marina Rodriguez that ended in a majority draw. Randa won 1 card 29-28. I thought Randa won the fight. The first round I could see Randa maybe 10-8. She dominated the ground game for sure. Randa said in her post media interview that she was allegedly forced to take fight or face losing her job since she wanted to take time off after losing to Nina Ansaroffi in July. There was a ending spot in the fight with Thiago and Eryk where Thiago nailed some elbows in the back of Eryk like at least 10-20 of them. After maybe 6 the fight should have stopped by it didnt. Eryk was saying in an interview with ESPN that he was 220 lbs on Sunday when the fight was offered to him. It sounded like Eryk's body just gave out on him. He was sent to the hospital but no lasting injuries. That was what happens when a fighter takes a fight on 6 days with NO training and no opporunity to work on their cardio.
Alan Jouban was robbed in brazil, he won against Warley. Jouban won second and third round.
Obs: I am brazilian
What happened to Jouban's neck
He was working on getting his neck thick and strong, got a severe injury in the process.
He had surgery. Disc replacement
+Luke W well it may have been already bothering him and then he started working on it to get it strong and then it exacerbated it. We dont really have the details.
