Haters, really a very biased breakdown, 1st round to justin…what?
I might say that khabib to date is the Best lightweight. No disrespect, just saying. Having a 0 loss doesn't make u The Goat. Perhaps if khabib stay a bit longer & move up another division level and dominate that division then I'd say maybe khabib is one of the goat.
I
Habib time P4P LEGENDA 29.0
Khabib
Getting caught by usada taking steroids automatically disqualifies Jon Jones and Anderson Silva, sorry you cant cheat and be the goat. Khabib is the real GOAT
Alan doesn't know how to score rounds.. not others rounds nor his own rounds.
2 haters us always
Jon needs to get off those "male enhancement" pills and stop roids raging LOL. P4P No 1? He does not even have a belt and is not fighting at the moment. And look at his last three opponents: a baseball player, a practically one-legged former middleweight and Anthony Smith (LOL, ok). And arguably Jon lost two out of those three fights despite all of those "picograms". Now, look at Khabib's last three opponents and what he did to them. He spanked total savages in the octagon like an angry dad and finished them all. At the moment Khabib is definitely NUMBER 1 P4P. Not even a debate. I think he is GOAT too, but it is a different discussion.
Okay lightweight contenders make the third of the top 15(5 out 15) p4p UFC rankings. That shows the level of competition in that division and Khabib finished three of them. Definitely Khabib is the p4p best fighter rn, should be number one when he did beat Poirier before.
Lets settle this GOAT issue, Khabib is the GOAT, Jon is the 'COMING BACK' GOAT
Conor vs Justin and Dustin vs Tony could make sense for a tournament, but obviously Dustin and Conor is already booked so guess that wont happen.
Khabib is the goat. Jon fought 10 fights without USADA
Beautiful Tributes paid to Khabib's hero: Alphonse de Lamartine (French author, poet, and statesman who was instrumental in the foundation of the Second Republic and the continuation of the Tricolore as the flag of France.) in,
Histoire de la Turquie, Paris 1854, Vol II, pp. 276-77:
"If greatness of purpose, smallness of means, and astounding results are the three criteria of human genius, who could dare to compare any great man in modern history with Muhammad? The most famous men created arms, laws and empires only. They founded, if anything at all, no more than material powers which often crumbled away before their eyes. This man moved not only armies, legislations, empires, peoples and dynasties, but millions of men in one-third of the then inhabited world; and more than that, he moved the altars, the gods, the religions, the ideas, the beliefs and souls… the forbearance in victory, his ambition, which was entirely devoted to one idea and in no manner striving for an empire; his endless prayers, his mystic conversations with God, his death and his triumph after death; all these attest not to an imposture but to a firm conviction which gave him the power to restore a dogma. This dogma was twofold, the unit of God and the immateriality of God; the former telling what God is, the latter telling what God is not; the one overthrowing false gods with the sword, the other starting an idea with words.
"Philosopher, orator, apostle, legislator, warrior, conqueror of ideas, restorer of rational dogmas, of a cult without images; the founder of twenty terrestrial empires and of one spiritual empire, that is Muhammad. As regards all standards by which human greatness may be measured, we may well ask, is there any man greater than he?"
Michael Hart in 'The 100, A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons In History,' New York, 1978.
"My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world’s most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the secular and religious level. …It is probable that the relative influence of Muhammad on Islam has been larger than the combined influence of Jesus Christ and St. Paul on Christianity. …It is this unparalleled combination of secular and religious influence which I feel entitles Muhammad to be considered the most influential single figure in human history."
Dr. William Draper in 'History of Intellectual Development of Europe'
"Four years after the death of Justinian, A.D. 569, was born in Mecca, in Arabia, the man who, of all men, has exercised the greatest influence upon the human race… To be the religious head of many empires, to guide the daily life of one-third of the human race, may perhaps justify the title of a Messenger of God."
Professor William Montgomery Watt in 'Muhammad at Mecca,' Oxford, 1953.
"His readiness to undergo persecution for his beliefs, the high moral character of the men who believed in him and looked up to him as a leader, and the greatness of his ultimate achievement – all argue his fundamental integrity. To suppose Muhammad an impostor raises more problems that it solves. Moreover, none of the great figures of history is so poorly appreciated in the West as Muhammad…. Thus, not merely must we credit Muhammad with essential honesty and integrity of purpose, if we are to understand him at all; if we are to correct the errors we have inherited from the past, we must not forget the conclusive proof is a much stricter requirement than a show of plausibility, and in a matter such as this only to be attained with difficulty."
Edward Gibbon and Simon Oakley in ‘History of the Saracen Empire,’ London, 1870
"The greatest success of Mohammad’s life was effected by sheer moral force."
“It is not the propagation but the permanency of his religion that deserves our wonder, the same pure and perfect impression which he engraved at Mecca and Medina is preserved after the revolutions of twelve centuries by the Indian, the African and the Turkish proselytes of the Koran….The Mahometans have uniformly withstood the temptation of reducing the object of their faith and devotion to a level with the senses and imagination of man. ‘I believe in One God and Mahomet the Apostle of God’ is the simple and invariable profession of Islam. The intellectual image of the Deity has never been degraded by any visible idol; the honors of the prophet have never transgressed the measure of human virtue, and his living precepts have restrained the gratitude of his disciples within the bounds of reason and religion".
Karyn Bryant . Your a true O.G .. and always on your game.. all power to you. It's a pleasure watching and listening to you. Thankyou.
– Khabib s massive massive fan..
Khabib is the GOAT! No cuts, no blood, no losses !!!! In a sport where the main goal is to hurt others and make your opponent bleed. And Still !!!!!
Anyone who thinks justin won round 1 knows absolutely nothing about mma he was pushing the pace, going after him, outstriked him by 2 shots and nearly submitted him if he had 15 more seconds.
7 reasons khabib is the goat :
1. Most 10-8 rounds in UFC history. By far the most dominant fighter in the Octogon.
2. It's debatable if he even lost a round in a golden era in the most stacked division.
3. Has never been made to drop a single drop of blood in the Octogon or had a black eye.
4. Never cheated with steroids.
5. Was promised a title shot by the UFC way back in 2016, was sent a contract in to fight Alvarez for the title in Sept 2016 but was used as a pawn in negotiations and the lightweight title shot was given to
featherweight Mcgregor. Mcgregor beat Alvarez and held the belt hostage for 2 years without defending it, further delaying
Khabib's rightful title shot.
So had to win 10 straight fights (in the most stacked division) to finally get his title shot whereas GSP got it in 3 fights and Jones got it in 7. Yet he still managed to get in 3
title defences. (How many defences would he have if he got his title shot in 2016? 5-6).
6. Was out for 2 years and came back fromcareer threatening injuries without any ring rust and was still as dominant as ever. Dominated Michael Johnson witha 9 mm
hernia in his spine. Fought Justin Gaethje with two broken toes and a broken bone.
7. A true champion by being a good
representation of the sport. Humble and hard working – the values of mixed martial arts. Didnt need to trash talk to sell fights.
Even if he had 5-6 title defences it wouldn't make him the GOAT because GSP would still have more title defences and belts, plus it's entirely speculative if Khabib would've stayed undefeated had he been offered a title fight in 2016, going by the record GSP is clearly the GOAT
@U WOT M8 it doesn't bother when someone puts gsp above khabib what bothers me is when people put cheaters in front of either khabib or gsp

Tony Ferguson > khabeep
@Dill Pickle lol ok got starched by Justin and then Khabib starched Justin.
Such a great content
I've said it before and I'll say it again: No matter how many nice things I say about Khabib, a lot of his fans will say I hate him. Even though words EXACTLY TO THE CONTRARY come out of my mouth, they're committed to that idea. I think I understand why, but I'm REALLY tired of it. And for the record, I haven't decided 100% who the GOAT is, so please stop assuming I have. Alan and I are debating, not deciding. If you want to leave some nonsense about me not liking Khabib go ahead I suppose; but just know that you are inventing it in your own head. Have a great day!
Nah you just hate him and you mad cause he probably ignored to handshake with you or something.
Ignore the haters. I think those Khabib fans are just in denial that he is retired and if you dont say Khabib is all that, they will attack you. You are a great journalist. This podcast is fun. Other sites were also debating on who the greatest is and to them they have an argument on why Khabib isnt there. Part of it is that he only defend the UFC Lightweight Championship on 3 occasions. Im so sorry that happened.
… and the funniest part is that one of us here actually knows the guy and has spoken with him on several occasions. The others watch him on TV…
@Karyn Bryant Ditto. I figured you two knew Khabib the best and spoke highly of him. Like I said, I think its just shocked among the Khabib stans that Khabib retired.
And the goat conversation is dumb, every era has its goat, Khabib was the best of this era, he will be replaced with someone better as the sport evolves further.
Why do you think someone like Dana White and Joe Rogan gave the P4P number one position to Khabib??!! Because they know Jon Jones's Record of PED is not clean even if they keep it to themselves and do not admit it publicly as it's bad for business. He is one of their main fighters with a sizable fan base and draw. Khabib is %100 clean. he never even had a foul, knocked down, had a swelling, cut or bled. The two rounds he lost in his entire carrier are debatable especially the last one where he had more aggression, control of the octagon and his opponent was saved by the bell in the first round from a transitioning submission takedown
The troop is real sistah.. lol.. we ready..
I hear you, Karyn. I am a hardcore Khabib fan and I know that we can get completely unreasonable in our "Khabib worship" and perceive everything except extreme blind adoration as "hate" LMAO. No praise is enough LOL. I guess Khabib is one of those athletes and characters who can give rise to an extreme fandom like this. Conor is another example and that's why when Khabib's and Conor's fanboys meet in the comments, mile-long cringe-worthy blood bath threads ensue LOL. It is pretty sad actually but we just can't help ourselves LOL.
Chandler should kind of have to climb the ranks. He should have to fight Michael Johnson someone in the top 10 he should have 2-three fights before Title Fight.
I'll tell you why Khabib is THE GOAT 10000%. This story confirmed by Daniel Cormier and Javier Mendez. In the weeks leading up to the fight, Khabib had not only broken foot, but mumps! Took him off camp for 2 to 3 weeks. But here is the kicker: Khabib was listening to Gaethje interviews leading up to the fight where Gaethje said he wouldn't tap. So Khabib DECIDES he wont use an arm bar (and I'm pretty sure that's why no ground and pound either in first round when he had the chance). Why? Because he didnt want to destroy Gaethje in front of Gaethjes parents who came to Abu Dhabi to watch the fight. This is how insanely good Khabib is. He tucked Gaethje in for a nap with triangle so Gaethje parents wouldnt have to watch him he mauled. No one else can do this under world class pressure. Insane.
Yes. No doubt about that.
Lol. Ferg is his daddy. He avoided the spanking.
@Dill Pickle I'm finna send your location.
Jon got scared bc the new guys catching up to him.
Justin vs Conor
Dustin vs Tony
Islam vs Chandler
Oliviera vs Hooker
Kevin Lee vs the Hole
Why is Jon even in this discussion? He's a drug addict that's tested positive. A cheater can't be a GOAT. For me it's -1- Khabib 2- GSP
Omg Karen you look AMAZING
What does this granny keep hating on Khabib? Do most Americans hate good and humble human beings?
Who are you are referring to as granny?
It's "alhamdulillah (praise the lord), Habib retired" and "inshallah" (God willing), Habib will be back". Karyn, don't get confused going back to Abu-Dhabi.
Karyn always hated on Khabib, nothing new
Hey Karyn, I just wanted to say that I think you might have the potential to be my wife.
Karyn is obviously okay with steroids and PED's. That should be an automatic disqualifier. You're a bad influence on the sport.
Karyn you're such a Karen. If someone doesnt like a person because of religion that's called bigotry. You should've shut them down even if you didn't know Khabib personally.
For a minute there I thought it was a USADA tester testing Alan live. As for all this GOAT talk. DJ said it best years ago. JBJ can fart into the wind and he'll flip flop on the p4p. JBJ will always be there at the top. There is too much of a bias towards the heavier weights so JBJ will always be considered p4p even though he is a d-bag outside the cage. I hope Khabib gets the p4p top ranking at least once but I doubt it. Also regarding the hazing Alan is going to get on the ESPN set they should make him interview Colby Chaos and enjoy that.
KB rocking that Miami gangsta look. Looking good as always Kb! Been a fan from the VJ days, sound FX, and the fight game. How do you age so Damn well? ? Like wine KB. Like wine.
Looking forward to seeing you both on the show this weekend.
do you guys think that Chandler really deserves to jump Oliveira? Hooker? Felder? Seems that he should break the top 6 before he gets to the top 3. Not a Chandler hater either, his fights in Bellator were good. But Oliveira has been on a tear and doesn't deserve to get overlooked for the hype of the aquisition.
Can't wait to see the return of brahma back in the octagon. Take it to Gordon man,my money's on you!
I love Karyn’s outfit!
Amazing podcast Karyn, superb as always……
JJ took performance drugs.
Chandler should fight Charles Olivera
I’ve never seen khabib bleed. GOAT
The only argument someone could have over Khabib is multi division wins at the top level because beating a champ of another division is generally higher p4p competition than no 1 contender in your division. But 155 competition is already strong to begin with as Alan pointed out, so its hard to deny Khabib as goat
Great show like always. I’m excited to seen Alan’s fight though! I hope he shows what we all believe that’s in him! Let’s go!
The Five horsemen in the 155lbs division… this is great…
I stil think justin won
dana white said connor and podier will fight at 155 not 170 he said no way at 170 their not even ranked at that weight class it will be 155 100 percent and I agree
The next 3 pay per view should co-main the top 6 in the lw division
No love for DC?
He should be in the top 5, imo.
Jones jones failing drug tests is significant. And like you said, jones might've lost fights, Khabib just lost couple rounds, And khabibs striking is pretty good, I mean he out punched justin. Khabibs never been knocked down either. And he was fighting with a few broken bones on his left foot his last fight.
Too much controversy with Jon’s legacy. I’m glad we have a goat candidate in Khabib that isn’t so problematic. No controversial wins, no ped drama, etc. He may not be the best everywhere (I think he outstruck Justin mainly cuz of takedown threat), but just looking at the results of him as an overall mma fighter, he’s undeniable.
Jon is the GOAT. Let me say why:
1. 15 title wins vs 4
2. 7 year reign vs 3
3. Faced wrestlers, muay thai, bjj specialists vs never faced anyone good who uses wrestling
4. Moving up to face GOAT HW and Hardest puncher in ufc ever vs Never moving up
5. Way more hall of farmers on resume vs only 4 great opponents
6. Those who say Khabib was denied title shot and fought more matches to get it, khabib needed 9 matches and was delayed by 2 fights (supposed to fight Eddie alvarez) and jones was given his shot after 7 matches. So khabib is 4 matches behind jones maximum. 4 + 4=8. So at best khabib would have 8 title wins in comparison to jones' 15, still nowhere near it
7. 20 win streak in ufc vs 13 ufc win streak
Don't bother using only 1 round lost, he fought bums until his 22nd fight in which he didn't even face elite competition until his 27th fight while jones faced elite competition (shogun rua champ of lhw who beat every man he faced except Griffin in ufc prior to fighting Jones) in his 13th fight
Jones is ahead of khabib by far…….
you would think the GOAT would know how to cut weight
Khabib is 3rd in goat ranks if you allow cheaters at the table, and 1st if you dont.
Great career, lov ya karen, keep up the good work, thnkz❤️❤️❤️.
